novoinsight 2019: Red carpet for the “Digital Stars” from commerce and customer service

More than 500 participants at novomind annual conference mark new record / Ideas, truths and visions for intelligent online business / “Hello World” focuses on internationalization of markets

More than 500 participants in the glamorous atmosphere of the CinemaxX movie theater at Hamburg’s Dammtor – the 16th Annual Conference of novomind AG on 7 November placed the focus on current trends in online business. Under the motto “Digital Stars”, prominent speakers from ECE, Deutsche Post and Transa Backpacking as well as successful start-up founders from the Hamburg NCA (Next Commerce Accelerator) program put their experiences and ideas in the limelight. While best-selling author Frank Schätzing presented visionary views into a future shaped by artificial intelligence (AI) in his keynote speech “About butterflies and tyrants”, more down-to-earth realities in the handling and application of AI in successful commerce and customer service projects followed in the course of the day.

Thematically, the “novoinsight” event always mirrors novomind’s pioneering corporate philosophy, which puts customer orientation and intelligent technology development center-stage. “We want to offer our customers efficient added values for their online business and customer experience management time and time again. No ‘business as usual’, but constantly new impulses for what they really need,” said CPO Markus Rohmeyer in his opening address in the packed Hall 1 of the CinemaxX theater. The growing international partner network is a big advantage in this context. “We have grown continuously and are optimally positioned also for digital mega trends such as messaging,” said Sylvia Tantzen, CMO at novomind. “Together with our partners, we can use intelligent novomind technology everywhere in a customized and highly effective manner.” The two Management Board members highlighted the growing importance of the international network to identify the precise and regionally very different needs and demands of potential customers in the relevant local markets.

The globalization of the markets brought about by digitization also determined the lively panel discussion of the international novomind partners; under the motto “Hello World”, international digital experts from Silicon Valley, Europe, Asia and the MEA region (Middle East Africa) discussed customer requirements, trends and potentials of commerce and customer service in international markets. A new participant in this year’s event was Seymur Rasulov, who will manage and expand novomind’s new Singapore branch, novomind APAC (Asia Pacific), in his capacity as Managing Director.

At the end of novoinsight, the red carpet was rolled out for movie-style entertainment, as the “novomind Awards” were presented on the big stage for the first time. At a festive award ceremony, four unique technology projects by novomind customers were honored as “Digital Stars 2019”. The Innovation Award went to sister companies OTTO/ECE for their joint project “Connected Commerce”, while the Global Award was won by PUMA. International insurer ADNIC was the winner of the Communication Award, with the Speed Award presented to Swiss travel and outdoor retailer Transa. All the prize-winners won the awards in their respective category in recognition of the top features of their novomind software solutions used in a variety of different fields.

The big “movie day” of novoinsight ended in style with a great after-show party at Klubhaus St. Pauli’s GAGA Club on Hamburg’s famous Reeperbahn, where the “Digital Stars 2019” celebrated their awards, their fresh insights and their new contacts.
